Bridge - Camera RAW editing not enabled pop-up box

I'm having a frustrating problem with Adobe Bridge CC. I can't get Adobe Bridge to edit any Camera RAW files directly. It always pops up a stupidly incorrect window claiming, "Bridge's parent application is not active. Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature." I can have Photoshop and Illustrator open at the same time and Bridge will still obstruct camera raw editing with that annoying pop-up.

I have tried re-booting my notebook. I've tried signing out of my Creative Cloud account and back in as well as signing into my CC account online at Adobe.com. That's had no effect. I've tried launching Bridge from Photoshop (Browse in Bridge) yet still get the pop-up road block. I've tried copying Photoshop's amtlib.dll file and pasting it over the AMTlib.dll file in Bride's folder. Still no good. Bridge will not even let me open Camera RAW preferences without hitting me with that pop-up, which eliminates another possible work-around. This pop-up has turned up before and I was able to solve it one time by stopping a process for Bridge in Task Manager. It's not there to stop this time.

I've done a good amount of web searching trying to find a solution for this problem and am not having any luck. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't even know why Bridge has to do some sort of qualifying product check when a Camera RAW file is selected for editing. There really is no logical justification for it. The Creative Cloud software already "phones home" constantly, especially Adobe Photoshop. I get hit with the sign in dialog box when launching Photoshop on an almost daily basis. This camera raw bug in Bridge is just adding more to the annoyance. The whole signing in/out thing with CC really needs to be streamlined.
